Night Guard

A night guard is typically provided in order to prevent a condition called sleep bruxism.  This is the term for clenching, grinding, or gnashing your teeth in your sleep.  Unfortunately, many people do not realize they are clenching or grinding their teeth in their sleep.  Left untreated, bruxism may cause many issues such as:

A night guard will not shift your bite over time, as they are exactly fitted to go over your teeth.  You can choose to put the guard over your top teeth or your bottom teeth, whichever provides you with the most comfort.  Ideally, you should choose a side that does not have any damaged teeth, such as cracks or chips.
