Biography
Dr. Jarek Atwood received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University where he also met his wife, Bethany. They moved to Ohio to attend The Ohio State University where he graduated summa cum laude with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. As the top graduate of his class, he brings passion for clinical excellence as well as the kind, friendly and gentle care that defines Family Tree Dental.
During his 4th year as a dental student, Dr. Atwood was assigned to Family Tree Marietta as a part of Ohio State University’s Ohio Project. There he fell in love with the hometown feel of Marietta and the Family Tree culture. After growing up in a military family and living in many different places–including Germany, England and New Mexico–Dr. Atwood felt it was time to put down roots and couldn’t think of a better place than Marietta, Ohio. He is now a proud part owner of the business and the area is stuck with him.
The Atwoods currently reside in beautiful downtown Marietta where they enjoy all the highs and lows of living in a historic home. All four children are heavily influenced by Legos and Harry Potter–mostly thanks to the magic of Mrs. Atwood.
